Today large areas of Arizona are Indian lands with the sites of the Monuments and National Parks located across the state.  The evidence of the early Southwest are in the monuments and museums closeby.  Most of the sites were abandoned between AD 1300-1400 consequently only clues to their daily lives remain.  When touring the sites keep in mind the most interesting parts maybe in the artifacts recovered over the years by archaeologists and the stories they have pieced together from their studies and findings.
